I wrote this post below last night after reading, “We’re Not in Kansas Anymore”. I apologize in advance if it was my mistake for it finding itself in a prior post. No big deal! I just want your readers to know that I’m not completely senile yet. I think it’s more of me not being perfect I guess. :)

I’ve heard the word hypocrite in this post mentioned on at least two occasions and if any of you two are considered hypocrites then many of us are indeed in trouble, well at least when it comes to traveling knowledge.

I really envy you two for all the traveling that you’ve done and the knowledge that you’ve picked UP.

I could go on and on but I agree that sex, religion and politic should usually be kept on side burners.

No! No! guys! I didn’t say Hell!

God Bless,

Peace

Kansas....a red state, yes...but not nearly so Red as UTAH! I should have sent you guys to the church I went to growing up in Wichita...wear your jeans, come one come all, hold hands if you are gay kind o'place. Far more progressive than the majority of the state....In Wichita! Woohoo!

PS I definitely agree on your assessment of "downtown". It shouldn't even be referred to as such!

I just wish my mom could have made it to see you...unfortunately, she had other commitments. Take care and keep in touch!

Hi, Isa! -- It is always great to read your tales. I can't believe all the things you do! It is clear you appreciate every day. It sort of makes me feel like a slowpoke compared to you & Ana!
I'm always so upset to hear about anyone having problems after transplant, and I realize that that could be me, I just never know. That's a good reason to really enjoy every day and every opportunity to LOVE and to be a good person. Not that I have to force myself... :-)
I've been fine and busy promoting donation and awareness in my own way...On a side note, I'll be at Stanford Friday for the Heart Transplant discussion & party...(also a stress echo). Pat Gamberg is retiring and invited me to sit under a tree & have some wine with her...(but I don't drink).
I miss you all, and miss all the people who have left the program. from Dr. Theodore to Ramona D., Marla and Dr. Nador...

Anyway - you & Ana deserve all the honor you are receiving! Much love to all...

Hi Isa and Ana!
The Fall air has hit Tallahassee, FL as well! My morning and afternoon walks are no longer "death walks"but so cool (literally) and comfortable! Of course, we will all be getting our lovely flu shots soon--ouch!

Oh, and I got an idea from your book. In a couple of weeks I'm going to contact the hospital I got my transplant, and ask if I can send them my thank you letter and a Happy Thanksgiving card from yours truly. This is because of yous guys (or gals). It only took me 12 years to work up the courage to finally send my donor family MY thank you letter. I'll keep you posted.

Hugs!
Kim :-)

P.S. PLEASE keep these blogs going--I love them! :-D

P.P.S. I hope you don't mind my rambling.

Isa- I love you, and I respect your posting so much. Personally, Ben and I have talked about having kids, soon, only because I am getting older and I don't know when my body will want to give up. Now keep in mind this is my opinion only, I would recommend to you the thought of adoption. Only because, your body has been through so much already that to put it through a pregnancy I would think would be an overkill. And, I know you want to me a mommy, but if your body is too tired to live out that dream then is it really worth it. Well, there is my two cents...I miss you!
