Ana and Isa are 35 year old identical twins with cystic fibrosis. We have written a book about our experiences living with CF and going through double lung transplants in 2000 and 2004, respectively. This blog has been created to give updates about the book, entitled “The Power of Two: A Twin Triumph of Cystic Fibrosis”, published by the University of Missouri Press, to be released in October 2007. However, when Ana developed chronic rejection of her lungs in October, 2006, we decided it would be a convenient place to post updates on her second transplant status. She received her second transplant on July 13, 2007. We are eternally grateful for this third chance, for the organ donors and their families who make this possible, to our health care team of miracle workers, and to all our friends and family who have sustained us along the way.
